I could tell you about my wonderful Thanksgiving break. Of Friendsgiving, and catching up with the closest of close. Or about how jealous you probably are that I rocked out to Rhett Miller (Old 97s) at the Granada. Or I could elaborate on his lyric I stole for this here blog title.
But I'd prefer to discuss important topics. Hair.
Did you know lice is not contained to tiny little kindergarteners? Let's just say that I'm wearing hairspray now (yuck). The authorities say that lice do not like hairspray, and so far I haven't caught the bug. (fingers crossed constantly)
Also, I am due for a haircut. Which makes me consider that after 22 years, I'm still not a pro at taming the curls. Should I abandon the ol' mousse and defuser method? Is that sooo 2003? If there is a new technology I need to be updated on, please enlighten me. Please share your thoughts... now.
Final thought: Literature holds a mind controlling power. My class is reading a book called Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio. Now, every muscle spasm sends my brain into Polio panic mode. I begin to dread the "inevitable" hot pack treatment for my imaginary disease. I might have issues or something?

let's see. I still rock the curls, but I really don't have much of a choice. If you straighten, you must have a CHI or something as good. Try some of the Aveda smoothing (don't get their curl shampoo)shampoo and conditioner. That stuff is good. I really like the tigi curls rock line. The leave in moisterizer is great followed by the gunk stuff in the line. Seriously good. Those are my favorites.
Wow. I can talk forever about hair products... I guess I'll stop now.
I totally feel you with the polio fears, I still get fake acid flashbacks when I think about the time I read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas! :P
But please write more about Thanksgiving and Old 97s so I can live vicariously through you~
We had an outbreak of lice this week in our class. Luckily, I'm clean!
Ugh, hair. I hate mine these days. Ever since that hair dresser on the north side destroyed my bangs. I don't have the 2008 method for dealing with curls, but I'll get back to you. Please, feel free to enlighten me if you discover any new tricks.
